At Home Ductless Maintenance
These simple steps, along with the annual service from Paramount Air, could add years to the life of your ductless mini-split system.
Before you begin these steps, make sure that the entire system is off both inside and outside and the system has been allowed to sit quietly for at least an hour. You can then:
- Make sure the indoor and outdoor unit has an unobstructed airflow around the entire system. A good three to four feet of clearance is required for optimum performance of the units.
- Taking a soft damp cloth, gently clean the surface of the indoor system. Make a habit of doing this on a regular basis to keep dust, dirt, and debris from building up in and around the unit.
- Remove and clean the indoor filters to insure the unit keeps operating at maximum performance.
